Terms of Service

1. License to Use AskClean

Subject to these Terms and your payment of the applicable fee, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use AskClean for your own personal or internal business use. Unless your purchase states otherwise, a license is valid for one user.

Photo Slim (iOS) is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of Photo Slim is licensed under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), supplemented by these Terms where not inconsistent. The one-time unlock applies to iPhones signed in with the same Apple ID.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, and be able to form a binding contract, to use the Services.

3. Purchases, Pricing, and Payment

AskClean is offered as a one-time purchase of $14.99 USD (a single payment, not a subscription) unless stated otherwise at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; by purchasing, you agree to Stripe's terms. After a successful payment, we issue a license key that you use to activate the app and download link.

Prices may change, but a change will not affect a purchase you have already completed. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.

Photo Slim (iOS) is offered as a one-time in-app purchase of $14.99 USD (not a subscription), processed entirely by Apple. Apple's terms govern the transaction; we never see your payment details.

4. Refunds

If AskClean does not work as described, contact us at [email protected] and we will work with you in good faith, including issuing a refund where appropriate. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

For Photo Slim (iOS), purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are requested directly from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple's refund policy applies.

5. License Key and Activation

Your license key is personal to you. Do not share, publish, or resell it. We may deactivate keys that are shared publicly, used fraudulently, or obtained through a reversed or disputed payment.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Copy, resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the app or your license key.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except where this restriction is prohibited by law.
• Circumvent licensing, activation, or usage limits.
• Use the Services to violate any law or the rights of others.
• Interfere with or place an unreasonable load on our backend or infrastructure.

7. Disk Cleanup — Your Responsibility

AskClean does not delete anything without your action. The app identifies items it believes are safe to remove and explains them, but you decide what to delete, and you are responsible for reviewing your selection before confirming.

By default, removed items are moved to the macOS Trash so you can restore them; some operations you explicitly choose are not reversible from the Trash — for example, compressing a photo or video replaces the original with the compressed version, and converting a Live Photo to a still removes its video component. Disk-cleanup tools inherently carry the risk of removing something you wanted to keep. You are responsible for maintaining current backups of your data. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, files, or settings resulting from your use of the app. In AskClean's photo cleanup and in Photo Slim, deleted photos and videos go to the Recently Deleted album (on your Mac or iPhone), recoverable for about 30 days.

8. AI Explanations Disclaimer

AI-generated explanations are provided for convenience, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and do not constitute professional advice. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for deleting anything important. You remain solely responsible for your deletion decisions.

9. Intellectual Property

AskClean and Photo Slim, their names, logos, and all related content are owned by NEXALIFY Ltd and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a license to use the apps, not any ownership of them. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

10. Third-Party Services

The Services rely on third parties including Stripe (payments) and our AI provider (explanations). Your use of those features may also be subject to the third party's terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY PARTICULAR ITEM IS SAFE TO DELETE.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEXALIFY Ltd WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold NEXALIFY Ltd harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Services or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14. Termination

These Terms apply for as long as you use the Services. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms. On termination, you must stop using and delete the app; sections that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers and limitation of liability) will survive.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at NEXALIFY Ltd's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to first try to resolve any dispute with us informally by contacting us. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be handled by the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
